Dr. Tanya Kormeili is a nationally recognized, board-certified dermatologist. As an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, she brings together intensive clinical expertise with a dedication to providing her patients with a superior experience at her practice as well as an interest in educating the public on the most crucial areas of dermatology.
Dr. Kormeili graduated University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Magna Cum Laude and was a two-time Regents Scholar before completing a four-year Dermatology residency at the prestigious University of California, Irvine (UCI). She is an active medical researcher and continues to publish and present papers worldwide in various areas of dermatology. Two of her peer-reviewed publications in the British Journal of Dermatology have been translated into various languages and are among the most cited articles in dermatology.
Dr. Kormeili is proud to have received numerous honors and awards for her contributions to the field of dermatology. She holds two international awards from the Chilean Society of Dermatology and Venereology, and the XVI CILAD Congress of Dermatology in Colombia. She was also awarded for research she presented at the World Congress of Dermatology in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2007. Dr. Kormeili has been published multiple times in peer-reviewed medical journals and book chapters.
Dr. Kormeili is a frequent speaker to both her industry and the public. She has been featured on television, as well as in print and online media. She has been seen on The Doctors as well as on Mun2 television and in Dermatology Times.
Dr. Kormeili’s priority has and always will be her patients. She believes strongly in balancing strong and up-to-date medical knowledge with a comforting and supportive doctor-patient relationship. Her gentle hand treats patients for the complete range of dermatological treatments including cosmetic procedures, medical dermatology, skin cancers, laser surgery, and other surgical procedures, including Mohs surgery, fillers, Botox, non-surgical facial rejuvenation, anti-aging treatments, and other services that can provide her patients with glowing, healthy skin.
Dr. Kormeili continues to do research in the field of dermatology in order to bring the latest and most important treatments and information to her patients. To date, Dr. Kormeili has received extensive training in clinical research and has been a sub-investigator in various clinical trials presented to the Food and Drug Administration.
When not working (rare!), Dr. Kormeili enjoys dancing, traveling, learning new languages, and exploring various cultures.
